Tentative NEA 2014 Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly Agenda    

Travel Dates:  Plan your travel to arrive in Denver on June 30 and depart on July 7.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  The emails were titled "NEA RA Delegate Allocation Notification" and "NEA RA Allocation Information."  The Delegate Election Report Form and other related information can be found at http://www.nea.org/delegaterequirements.  The number of delegates for your association will be listed at the top portion of the "NEA RA Allocation information" email

NEA delegates will receive their credentials packet from NEA in mid-June in their US mail.  Delegates will also receive a WEA Delegate Handbook in their US mail.

Delegates with Physical Challenges ~ Those registering as a Delegate with Physical Challenges will need to request any services right away at:  http://www.nea.org/grants/anual-meeting-delegate-resources.html.  Space is limited, the deadline will be on May 31, 2014.  Do not wait until you arrive on-site to request such services.  The website noted contains requirements and guidelines for the services offered.  If you have questions, please contact Ms. Nzinga Damali-Cathie, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Washington's Headquarter Hotel ~ Delegates will be staying at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.  DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL FOR RESERVATIONS. Our conference rates are $159 plus 14.75% tax per night for single or double rooms.  Visit Denver Convention and Visitors Bureau will launch our online reservations system at 7 a.m. on April 14 for LOCAL DELEGATES. The system closes at midnight on June 8.  Reservations may also be made during this same time frame by phoning 1-888-627-8405...to get the discounted nightly rate, be sure to mention that you are attending the NEA Convention with the Washington delegation.  Conference rates are also available five days prior and five days after the NEA Convention, based upon availability.  The hotel will require each guest at check-in to pay $100 for incidentals for their entire stay and replenish the account back to the $100 level should it fall below $50.  Remember...Link and phone reservation line are not active until 7 a.m. on April 14.

Association credit card payment for hotel stay ~ Association credit card paying for multiple hotel rooms?  Association paying for hotel room for delegate who is not an authorized signer on that cred card?  No problem with a little preplanning.  Avoid slowdown at hotel front desk oon day of arrival.  The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel requires online credit card preauthorization one week prior to arrival for these situations.  Click here for instructions and link

You need JavaScript enabled to view it , WEA Meeting Planner, will make hotel reservations for STATE DELEGATES.  Return the State Delegate Hotel Reservation Form to her by Monday, May 19, 2014.  Lodging is based on double occupancy.

WEA will pay roundtrip transportation expenses up to $450 for State Delegates.  Use the WEA travel site Egencia.com if you have a profile.  Need help...contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it at 509-324-2162.  State Delegates making and paying for their own airline reservations will be reimbursed up to $450 and are encouraged to shop for roundtrip airfares priced at no more than $450.
